Sarnath Buddha placeThe best time to visit Varanasi is from October to March when the weather is pleasant and suitable for exploring the city. The winter months (November to February) are particularly comfortable for sightseeing. Summers (April to June) can be extremely hot, while monsoon (July to September) brings heavy rainfall which might disrupt outdoor activities.
Varanasi is a conservative and religious city, so modest clothing is recommended. For women, clothes that cover shoulders and knees are appropriate. For temple visits, you might need to cover your head. Comfortable walking shoes are essential as you'll be exploring many places on foot. During winters, carry warm clothing as it can get quite cold, especially in the mornings and evenings.
We provide comfortable accommodation in 3-star or similar category hotels in Varanasi on twin/triple sharing basis. The hotels are carefully selected for their cleanliness, comfort, and convenient location near the main attractions. All rooms have attached bathrooms with hot water, and the hotels offer basic amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.
Photography is generally allowed at the ghats and in the streets of Varanasi, but there are restrictions inside many temples. At Kashi Vishwanath Temple, cameras and mobile phones are not allowed inside the main temple complex and must be deposited at the cloakroom. It's always respectful to ask for permission before photographing people, especially during religious ceremonies.
